Unit Coordinator

Unit Coordinator – BMH EMCU FT 10N Location: BMH Bronson Methodist Hospital Responsibilities Serve as leader and clinical liaison with staff, physicians, and management to ensure day‑to‑day operations and maintain unit standards. Mentor, coach, and provide feedback to staff, including performance evaluations and personal development plans. Assist with hiring, orientation, staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and payroll activities. Coordinate patient placement, staffing assignments, and adjust staffing on a day‑to‑day basis. Maintain a safe environment of care and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards through audits and monitoring. Serve as clinical expert resource, providing guidance on clinical and operational issues. Participate in shared governance and unit meetings; facilitate planning and conducting of meetings. Provide customer service to internal and external customers and act as first responder for clinical and service recovery issues. Carry out job‑related physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs and using a computer for 40–70% of the day. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience; Master’s degree preferred. Licensed registered nurse in good standing with the State of Michigan. Preferred advanced nursing certifications (e.g., CCN, GPN, PAC, RN/PA, NAE, RN/BSN, DNP), PALS, BLS, ACLS, and unit‑specific certifications. Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification within 6 months for Labor & Delivery and Mother/Baby/Antepartum units. Prior management or leadership experience preferred. Strong leadership, organization, communication, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and be accountable for assignments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio) and data analysis. Fluent in English written and spoken. Understanding of regulatory standards and ability to interpret their impact on the organization. #J-18808-Ljbffr
