This is a direct hire opportunity.Heavy Equipment Assembler Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:Perform necessary assembly and disassembly of body and equipment, such as removal of fasteners, welded components, tie downs, removing hydraulic hoses, and all other assembly/disassembly related activities within company guidelinesBuild and customize heavy and light duty vehicles with a variety of parts to specsMaintain accurate records of work performed on each vehicle daily as required to establish labor hours for vehicle costsMove parts into position, manually or with hoists, cranes, or forkliftsUnderstand drawings/schematics and directions to determine material requirements and task sequencesMaintain tools, equipment, and shop area for the purpose of ensuring the availability, and functioning of, required tools and equipment within a safe work areaWire electrical components to an assortment of vehiclesPlumbing hydraulics on an assortment of vehiclesRead and understand work ordersEnsure a timely turnaround of vehiclesPerform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unitHeavy Equipment Assembler Requirements:High school diploma or GEDMust have previous experience working with heavy equipmentMust be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background checkMaintain punctual attendance in accordance with schedule and company's attendance scheduleKeep work area clean, safe, and organizedProduce a product that is up to Custom Truck quality standardsProvide a positive, team-oriented attitudeBasic computer navigation and software skills needed for onboarding and daily timekeepingMust be able to read and comprehend written instructionsFocus in a fast-paced environmentPreferred 2+ years of related automotive or vocational truck operation and maintenance experienceStrong communication skills preferredProven commitment to Safety preferredMajority of work is performed in a shop and outsideMust be able to work while exposed to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or other fumesMust be able to work overtime as neededOccasionally lift, carry, push, and/or pull; some climbing and balancing on ladders and platforms of heights above 42 inches, significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling throughout a 10-hour day, and up to 50 hours per weekMust be able to safely operate carts, forklifts, hand trucks, and other equipment of such natureAbility to walk and stand on concrete and/or uneven surfaces for at least 10 hours per dayIND999 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
