Senior Public Relations Manager

The Position Venue Marketing Group seeks a Senior Public Relations Manager to join our creative and sometimes crazy team. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of developing and executing strategic public relations initiatives, building and maintaining strong media relationships, securing meaningful media coverage, and leading client communications. This individual will ensure every client receives thoughtful, timely, and effective service. Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic public relations plans for a diverse portfolio of clients. Build and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and national media, as well as social media influencers. Write and distribute press releases, media pitches, editorial content, and other communications materials. Secure media coverage and ensure messaging aligns with each client’s brand and objectives. Coordinate and manage media interviews, press conferences, and public appearances. Assist with the planning and execution of client events and promotional activities. Coordinate and manage photo shoots during events and special projects. Supervise, mentor, and support junior public relations staff. Manage multiple client accounts while meeting deadlines and maintaining exceptional quality. Develop innovative public relations strategies that elevate clients’ brands and events. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field. Four or more years of public relations experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in public relations platforms such as Meltwater, Cison, etc. Strong knowledge of national, regional, and local media outlets. Experience developing and executing integrated communications campaigns. Strong writing, editing, and media pitching skills. Experience with event planning and management. Exceptional organizational and time-management skills. Willingness to occasionally work evenings and weekends. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
