Business Development Manager - R&D Tax Credits

Leonid Group is working with a forward-thinking, innovative R&D tax credit consultancy in the US, to provide experienced a Business Development Managers, specialised in tax credits. Attractive base salary + recurring commission structure. We are seeking a seasoned and relationship-focused Business Development Director to join our client's high-performing Sales team. This role is designed for experienced sales professionals who excel in consultative selling, strategic networking, and long-term client development. As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading client engagements, expanding referral channels, and supporting the development of junior sales staff. You will serve as both a revenue generator and a team mentor, helping to shape our client’s sales strategy while delivering outstanding results through relationship-driven business development. Responsibilities: Achieve monthly and annual sales targets. Develop new clients and referral sources. Educate CPAs, business owners, and C-level executives. Sell our client's services to end-clients, CPAs and accountants, industry organizations, and more. Collaborate with internal teams to develop winning client proposals and solutions. Engage in sales and marketing campaigns to raise awareness of our client's value creation. Effectively enter and manage CRM data to ensure proper business management. Forecast expected business results on a monthly basis. Support the growth objectives of multiple practices. Travel as needed. Experience & Qualifications: Previous experience in business development, B2B sales, or client relationship management roles. Proven ability to drive revenue through strategic networking and referral partnerships. Demonstrated success leading high-level sales conversations with executives and key stakeholders. Experience mentoring or managing junior sales professionals strongly preferred. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and relationship management expertise. Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and virtual communication platforms.
