Position Summary Under the general direction of the Senior Manager of Quality Improvement, the Part‑Time Crisis Clinical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing Registered Associate clinical providers (e.g., ASW, AMFT, APCC) or “practitioners” by providing ongoing clinical supervision and reviewing documentation. Responsible for providing clinical supervision to employee practitioners in both individual, triadic, and group format. Required Qualifications Education: Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or a related field plus a minimum of five years’ experience working in a community mental health program. Licensure: Must hold an unrestricted California Licensed Clinical Supervisor license from the BBS, held for at least two years, and have practiced psychotherapy or directly supervised trainees, interns, or associates that perform clinical services and/or psychotherapy for at least two years within the last five-year period immediately preceding supervision. Training: Must have completed a minimum of six hours of supervision training or coursework within two years immediately preceding supervision (or within 60 days of commencement of supervision) and every renewal period thereafter for supervisors of AMFT or trainees; and a minimum of 15 contact hours for supervisors of Associate Clinical Social Workers. Documentation of course completion must be provided. Supervision will consist of individual, triadic and group formats. CATT Requirements At least two years of experience working in mental health and substance recovery treatment with strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills. Experience providing constructive, timely feedback identifying strengths and areas of development to practitioners. Proficiency in the use of Electronic Health Record (E.H.R.) systems (e.g., Welligent, Credible, Epic). Participation in CQRT and Medi‑Cal SMHS experience. Ability to prioritize effectively competing demands on time and maintain a flexible work schedule in accordance with client and program needs. Solid written skills to meet the required documentation standards guided by Alameda County, Medi‑Cal and internal policy. Essential Functions/Skills Utilize analysis, objectivity, and clinical judgement to make informed decisions. Familiarity with and ease of working with issues related to homelessness, substance abuse, mental health diagnosis, and history of trauma. Seasoned clinician/administrator skilled at training, coaching, and mentoring multidisciplinary staff. Ensure accuracy and quality of clinical documentation in accordance with regulations and best practices with note review. Adhere to a professional code of ethics. Strong consultation skills, including effective crisis de‑escalation and risk assessment. Openness to learning and understanding different perspectives, with self‑awareness around race, gender, class, sexual orientation, lived experience and other attributes. Maintain supervision records, ensure timely signing of supervisee hours, review and co‑sign required documentation for quality, accuracy and compliance with Medi‑Cal, Alameda County and agency policies. Maintain confidentiality, uphold HIPAA standards, and prevent Medi‑Cal fraud, waste and abuse. Participate in CQRT and other internal or county clinical review processes; ensure client documentation is accurate and submitted within established time frames. Identify staff training needs, develop and implement programs, and deliver training sessions related to clinical/program. Oversee and review practitioners’ work procedures and compliance with policies and procedures. Provide counseling, motivation, discipline of practitioners and refer advanced issues to upper management. Provide feedback related to the evaluation process of practitioners. Assist practitioners with complex cases and integration of diversity, equity, and inclusion perspectives. Sign off on supervisee hours weekly and/or no less often than monthly. Keep current with legal and regulatory requirements for clinical supervision. Provide crisis intervention and consultation as needed. Attend meetings as requested to support clinicians or the team. Perform other duties as assigned. Work Environment Work is typically performed in an office or community‑based setting with standard lighting, temperature, and noise levels. Some positions may require travel between locations as part of regular duties. Travel Required This position requires regular travel to multiple agency and partner locations within the Bay Area. Employees must have reliable transportation and the ability to reach designated sites within reasonable travel times.
