The Payroll & Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting payroll processing, employee onboarding, HR administration, personnel records, benefits, employee relations, HRIS accuracy, and regulatory compliance . The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, highly organized, and comfortable handling confidential information and resolving employee concerns.

What You'll Do

• Process accurate and timely payroll for facility employees.

• Review timecards, identify discrepancies, and work with managers and employees to resolve payroll issues.

• Audit payroll reports and maintain accurate payroll records.

• Ensure payroll practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations .

• Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, and employment paperwork .

• Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files and HR documentation.

• Assist with benefits administration , employee leave, and related documentation.

• Serve as a resource for employees regarding payroll, benefits, policies, and HR-related questions .

• Support employee engagement, retention, recognition, and workplace culture initiatives.

• Assist with employee relations and conflict resolution , handling concerns professionally and confidentially.

• Partner with department managers and leadership to address employee concerns and support staffing needs.

• Maintain accurate information within the HRIS and payroll systems .

• Assist with HR reporting, audits, surveys, and regulatory documentation.

• Support compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws and regulations.

• Assist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and employee development initiatives.

• Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information.

• Perform additional HR, payroll, and administrative duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare, skilled nursing, long-term care, or a related environment preferred.

• Minimum 1 year of payroll and/or human resources experience .

• Hands-on experience with payroll processing, timekeeping, and employee records .

• Working knowledge of payroll practices, wage and hour regulations, and employment laws.

• Experience with HRIS and payroll software preferred.

• Strong conflict resolution and employee relations skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with employees and leaders at all levels.

• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

• High level of integrity and discretion with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook .

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Skilled Nursing or Long-Term Care experience.

• Experience with healthcare payroll and timekeeping systems.

• Experience supporting employee onboarding, orientation, and employee relations .

• Experience assisting with HR audits, reporting, compliance, and regulatory documentation.

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
