- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients from pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through standardized assessments and observational guidelines.
- Design individualized treatment plans aimed at addressing both immediate and long-term goals related to communication, cognitive functioning, and swallowing abilities.
- Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions that highlight the facets of communication, language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, and physicians, to create integrated care approaches.
- Educate patients and their families, providing them tools to support ongoing progress beyond clinical settings.
- Participate occasionally in inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions to ensure consistent care throughout the recovery process.
- Document patient interactions and progress meticulously, adhering to legal, state, and organizational requirements.
- Stay updated on best practices in the field through ongoing education and collaboration with peers.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.
- A valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hiring.
- Strong expertise in evidence-based treatment practices for all age groups, with a solid grasp of both developmental and acquired communication challenges related to speech, language, and swallowing.
