Field Tech Service Coordinator

We are seeking a Field Tech Service Coordinator to serve as the primary technical support resource for customers and field technicians at a world-leading manufacturer of industrial bandsaws, delivering high-precision, high-capacity cutting solutions across a wide range of materials. This role provides remote troubleshooting and technical guidance for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and machine-control issues, including interpreting schematics to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions. The Coordinator will also support installations, repairs, maintenance, upgrades, parts, training, and warranty matters while coordinating service calls with internal teams and field technicians to ensure timely, effective resolution.

RESPONSIBILITIES
-Serves as primary technical point of contact for customers & field technicians' troubleshooting needs.
-Supports installations, upgrades, repairs, training, parts identification, and warranties.
-Diagnoses mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and machine-control issues remotely as/when possible.
-Interprets schematics (electrical, hydraulic) to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
-Provides technical guidance on equipment operation, maintenance, repairs, upgrades, accessories, and warranty issues.
-Coordinates with Parts, Warranty, and other internal teams to resolve service issues.
-Evaluate, prioritize, schedule, and dispatch field service calls based on urgency, technician expertise, and location.
-Coordinates service appointments, monitor service requests, following up to ensure timely resolution.
-Provides technicians with relevant customer, machine, and diagnostic information to address field support needs/issues.

QUALIFICATIONS
-2 years of hands-on experience supporting field service technicians in service/technical/industrial/manufacturing setting.
-2 years of experience troubleshooting industrial machinery, reading/interpreting schematics, and diagnosing technical issues.
-Possess strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
-Possess ability to explain complex technical concepts to varying technical expertise.
-Willing and available for up to 20% travel for service issues & onsite customer support.
