Interim General Manager

Los Angeles immersive and gaming hub Hatch Escapes is seeking a full time Interim General Manager from mid-October 2026 to the beginning of April 2027. The Interim General Manager will oversee the company’s day to day administrative and business operations while Managing Director Liv Robertson is on extended leave. Full Time Hourly (In Person Only) Compensation: $24-28/hour based on qualifications and experience Choice between 1 of 3 Health Insurance plans through Kaiser TEA membership Responsibilities: Collaborates with the leadership team to maintain the quality of work and health of the game master staff individually and as a whole by tracking performance trends, fielding concerns, offering support and guidance, and disciplining when necessary Scheduling Game Masters, optimizing coverage and workload distribution. Approving timesheets and running payroll for employees and contractors Managing data collection and analysis to track performance and inform strategic decisions. Overseeing the financial management of the company, including paying bills, managing purchase orders, and maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting best practices. Leading marketing efforts to enhance visibility and attract new guests, including managing marketing campaigns, handling public relations, and overseeing promotional activities. Coordinating email campaigns, newsletters, and other communications to engage our audiences. Overseeing our online presence, ensuring that our website and social media platforms are up-to-date, engaging, and effectively reaching our target audiences. Manages the image and content of Hatch Escapes’ profile on Google Review, Yelp, and Morty, monitoring and reporting guest reviews and trends. Manages email and phone coverage throughout the week during business hours, upholding company policies and providing excellent customer service. Manages all event inquiries by fielding all Event Space rentals and providing recommendations and multi-game packages for large groups. Managing Hatch’s relationships with all building tenants. Planning and executing events that align with our company’s goals and enhance guest engagement. Maintaining partnerships with educational institutions to promote learning and engagement through our escape room experiences. Qualifications: Experience in a managerial role, preferably in the arts, entertainment, or hospitality industry. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a diverse team. Experience in performance management, capable of providing constructive feedback. Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Experience in marketing, including digital marketing and social media management. Ability to strategize, implement, and build partnerships and community relations. Proficient in financial management and bookkeeping. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Arts Management, Arts, or a related field.
