Bilingual Medical Front Desk Lead (Supervisor)

Location: Houston, TX 77002 (Midtown Area)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:30 PM
Pay: $20-$24/hr based on experience + Full-Time Benefits
Duration: 6-month contract with potential to convert to a permanent position
Start Date: ASAP, pending required compliance clearance

Position Overview

We are seeking a Bilingual Front Desk Lead to support daily front-office operations in a busy healthcare setting (mmulti-specialty). This role will combine hands-on patient interaction with front-desk leadership, scheduling, administrative responsibilities, and team support.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist patients in person and by phone
• Complete accurate patient check-in/check-out and update EHR information
• Schedule appointments and manage appointment reminders
• Follow up on no-shows and manage patient voicemails
• Explain clinic services, policies, and payment requirements
• Collect patient co-payments and assist with payment-related duties
• Address patient questions and concerns and escalate issues when needed
• Help oversee front-desk and eligibility operations
• Monitor productivity and assist with staffing needs
• Support, mentor, and train front-office staff
• Assist with onboarding and ongoing team education
• Serve as a liaison between patients, medical/dental staff, and outside healthcare services
• Manage petty cash and prepare daily patient payment deposits
• Maintain an organized, professional front-office environment
• Ensure patient documentation and charts meet compliance requirements

Requirements

• 2+ years of medical office experience required
• Bilingual English/Spanish required
• Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred
• Dental office experience preferred, but not required
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent organization and multitasking abilities
• Comfortable working directly with patients and supporting a healthcare team
• College degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered

Ideal Candidate

Someone with strong healthcare front-office experience who is comfortable leading/managing a team, working directly with patients, handling administrative responsibilities, and supporting both medical and dental operations.
