Mail Processing Clerk

Posted Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 4:00 AM TSS is seeking a security cleared (Active Top Secret) Mail Processing Clerk for the following duties: Performs clerical and physical tasks in connection with processing incoming and outgoing shipments. In handling unusual non-routine problems, seeks specific guidance from supervisor or other officials. May direct and coordinate the activities of other workers engaged in handling goods for receipt and delivery. Inspects, inventories, and documents incoming and outgoing shipments of mail / merchandise / property. Assists with special inspections. Verifying the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records Checking for damaged goods Insuring that goods are appropriately identified for routing to departments within the establishment Preparing and keeping records of goods received. Delivers shipments to recipients. Prepares outbound shipments in accordance with established guidelines and regulations.
