Patient Communication Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Patient Communication Specialist based in the United States.

This remote, customer-facing role supports patients and cardiology clinic teams within a technology-enabled cardiac monitoring environment.
You will help patients maintain connectivity with their home monitoring equipment and ensure timely, accurate communication.
The role combines compassionate customer service with scheduling, documentation, data entry, and technical troubleshooting.
You will collaborate with internal teams to resolve patient needs and maintain smooth communication across the care ecosystem.
Success requires empathy, patience, strong organization, and confidence working across multiple digital systems.
Basic cardiology knowledge is required, while cardiac device, electrophysiology, or remote-monitoring experience is especially valuable.
The position offers a full-time remote environment with a focus on meaningful patient support and reliable service.

Accountabilities

• Provide exceptional, patient-centered customer service with kindness, patience, professionalism, and empathy.

• Initiate, receive, and accurately document communications and interactions with patients.

• Facilitate patient connectivity with home and remote monitoring equipment, including helping patients troubleshoot connectivity or equipment issues.

• Monitor internal databases for patients who have lost connectivity to their remote monitoring systems and proactively follow up.

• Schedule appointments and issue appointment reminders while maintaining accurate information across multiple systems.

• Perform timely and accurate data entry using various information systems, web platforms, and communication tools.

• Collaborate with internal departments to address customer needs and resolve issues efficiently.

• Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, organization, and consistent service quality.

• Support leadership with special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; a college or technical degree, healthcare-related certification, or equivalent experience is preferred.

• Basic knowledge of cardiology is required; experience in cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiac devices, or remote patient monitoring is preferred.

• Strong verbal, written, and electronic communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients and colleagues.

• Demonstrated ability to provide courteous, empathetic, and professional customer service in every interaction.

• Strong computer, internet, and technology skills, with the ability to navigate multiple web-based systems simultaneously.

• Experience with electronic health records, remote monitoring platforms, data-entry systems, or appointment scheduling tools is preferred.

• Previous experience working effectively and independently in a remote environment is advantageous.

• Strong multitasking, organization, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills.

• Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while regularly operating a computer and other office equipment.

• Ability to communicate effectively using voice-over-internet technology and perform repetitive keyboard and data-entry movements.

• Must reside and work exclusively within the contiguous United States.

• Must have reliable, stable internet access and a suitable remote-work environment.
