Key Responsibilities\n

• Collaborate with the Medical Director and Medical Team Administrator to coordinate mental health treatments within both the facility and community settings, ensuring integrated and holistic care for all patients.

• Provide mental health in-service training sessions for medical, psychiatric, and security staff to enhance their understanding of mental health issues and improve patient interactions.
\n
• Proactively intervene and de-escalate mental health crises, utilizing evidence-based practices to maintain a safe environment within the clinic.

• Attend commitment hearings when necessary, advocating for patients and ensuring their rights and needs are duly represented.
\n
• Develop customized treatment plans and goals tailored to individual patients, considering their unique situations and aspirations for improved mental health.

• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of all patient interactions, upholding confidentiality standards in line with industry regulations.
\n
• Verify patients’ mental health histories, including any prior use of psychotropic medications, to inform treatment plans and ensure continuity of care.

• Prepare regular and special reports concerning patient progress and outcomes, working in conjunction with the clinical team to monitor effectiveness and areas for improvement.

• Coordinate with nursing and mental health staff to facilitate post-release referrals, ensuring patients have access to continued support in their recovery journey.
