Public Finance Associate

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Public Finance Associate in Buffalo, NY. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of experience in public finance law, supporting various transactions and managing multiple clients in a dynamic environment. Duties Assist with public finance transactions, including bond issuances and municipal financings. Draft and review transaction documents such as offering documents and bond resolutions. Conduct legal research and due diligence on federal, state, and local tax laws. Support closings and coordinate with underwriters and other transaction participants. Prepare closing and post‑closing documents and maintain transaction files. Participate in client meetings and contribute to business development efforts. Requirements Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Strong academic credentials. Excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with other practice areas. Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction. Experience in public finance transactions and economic development projects.
