Description - What Your Role Entails

• Conduct routine and advanced clinical tests-spanning chemistry, hematology, immunology, and beyond-consistent with established protocols.
• Evaluate results for precision, identify and rectify errors, and carry out preventative maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments.
• Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for testing as necessary.
• Thoroughly document all laboratory procedures, mentor new staff or students, and contribute to the maintenance of high lab quality standards.
• Ensure a tidy, safe working environment while adhering to regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health qualification along with ASCP/AMT certification preparation.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within one year of hire.
• Maintain current certification for the duration of employment.
