Staff Development Coordinator

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Development Coordinator (RN) to join our leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse who is passionate about education, mentorship, and helping others succeed.

In this vital leadership role, you will help build a strong clinical team by ensuring our nursing staff have the training, knowledge, and support needed to provide exceptional care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, develop, and implement educational programs for nursing and support staff
Coordinate and lead new employee orientation and onboarding
Conduct competency evaluations and skills assessments
Organize and facilitate ongoing in-service education
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations
Support infection prevention and quality assurance initiatives
Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing staff
Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
Minimum of three years of nursing experience
Long-term care or geriatric nursing experience preferred
Previous Staff Development, Nurse Educator, or leadership experience preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver educational programs
Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
Commitment to excellence in resident care and staff development
