Assistant Nurse Manager – Call Center Overview BJC Medical Group, part of BJC HealthCare, seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Call Center in Creve Coeur, Missouri. The role supports operational functions, enhances clinical service excellence, and ensures regulatory compliance across the department. Responsibilities Support operational functions related to reporting, payroll, service recovery, staff communication, data collection, and regulatory readiness. Collaborate with leadership to guide staff toward clinical and service excellence. Assist in developing staffing and financial budgets; monitor adherence to budget goals. Analyze data, identify trends in patient outcomes, and develop action plans for audits, reporting, and compliance. Conduct service recovery for physician and bed‑management issues and investigate operational matters. Ensure staff meet regulatory, unit, and BJC competency requirements; implement corrective plans and follow‑up compliance. Maintain year‑round readiness through audits, determining corrective actions for units or individuals, and ensuring corrective plans are followed. Own the environmental plan. Review and reconcile staff hours, payroll, time‑cards, and bonus tracking; approve daily payroll updates. Coordinate staff communications, prepare huddle agendas, and lead meetings. Determine staffing needs, make nursing assignments, assign overtime, and recommend annual increases. Interview for open positions, conduct performance reviews, draft and issue corrective actions/coaching, and follow‑up on disciplinary actions. Manage onboarding, hiring, training, workload management, and professional development plans. Ensure the productivity of the group aligns with operational goals set by department leadership. Minimum Requirements Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing. Experience: 2–5 years in nursing; no supervisory experience required. License: Registered Nurse (RN). Preferred Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
