Beacon Hill is hiring an Accounting Clerk for a well-established nonprofit organization on a temp-to-hire basis. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their accounting career while supporting a mission-driven organization funded through government grants and community programs. The Accounting Clerk will assist with accounts payable, reconciliations, data entry, and general accounting support in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices and assist with accounts payable functions
- Enter and maintain accurate financial data within the accounting system
- Assist with bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support expense tracking and documentation for grant-funded programs
- Maintain vendor records and organize accounting files
- Assist with month-end close activities and audit preparation
- Respond to internal and external accounting inquiries
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of accounting, accounts payable, or bookkeeping experience
- Nonprofit experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Excel, including sorting, filtering, and basic formulas
