We areseeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician to provide coverage at a VeteransAffairs Medical Center in Fresno, California. This is an excellent opportunityto practice in a busy emergency department providing comprehensive emergencycare in a collaborative, physician-led environment.

• 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

• Evaluate, diagnose, stabilize, and treat patients presenting with medical, surgical, psychiatric, and traumatic emergencies.
• Perform emergency procedures including airway management, moderate sedation, central line placement, chest tube insertion, lumbar puncture, joint reductions, laceration repair, incision and drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, intubation, and other emergency procedures within scope of practice.
• Manage patients requiring resuscitation, stabilization, and disposition.
• Collaborate with consulting services and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Complete accurate and timely electronic medical documentation.

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine
• Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited residency in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or General Surgery (or approved international equivalent)
• Current unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active DEA registration
• National Provider Identifier (NPI)
• Clear OIG status
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• CPRS experience preferred but not required
