Highlights: 36-bed medical/surgical oncology unit specializing in adolescent and young adult (AYA) patient population Patient ratio 1:4 with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, physical therapy, and rapid response teams Epic EMR system with 72 hours of orientation provided Common diagnoses include breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancers, plus sickle cell crises Continuous cardiac monitoring related to chemotherapy administration and symptom management Equipment includes GE telemetry system, Alaris pumps, bladder scanners, and Stryker beds Requirements: Minimum 2 years acute care RN experience required (must be current within the last 12 months) Valid compact or Ohio RN license in hand at time of submission Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Epic EMR experience required Previous travel experience preferred Oncology experience preferred but not required Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Skills required: dysrhythmia interpretation and management, port access, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line and PICC line care, IV starts, chest tube assistance, high flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing 2 professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership role) Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of oncology patients requiring complex care, including chemotherapy administration and comprehensive symptom management.
