Job Description Job Description Location: River Grove, IL Job Type: Temp to Hire Shifts: Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Pay Rate: $16 - $17 Requirements: Resume / Interview / Drug Screen / Authorization to Work in the U.S. Job Summary Our client is seeking an Assistant Shipping / Warehouse Clerk to assist the Warehouse Manager in all areas of receiving, shipping, materials management and building maintenance. The client is willing to train the right candidate. Key Responsibilities * Assist with the receiving and shipping of material both physically and electronically. * Assist other warehouse personnel with general handling, inspection, preparation, issuing of * materials, inventory management and other general activities in the warehouse. * Assist in design and improvement of warehouse layout and material flow. * Work closely with the other shop associates to meet on-time delivery, quality and cost * objectives for jobs and special activities * Understand and use documentation to properly handle the product. * Maintain a neat work environment. * Meet the due dates as set forth on the Job Traveler or by the supervisor/manager * Maintain a neat work environment using 5S and Lean techniques * Work with others in a team environment * Communicate effectively with shop manager and associates when there are questions, * uncertainty and during normal processes to ensure quality product built right the first time General Job Knowledge: * Basic knowledge of how to use a table saws, simple machines like notchers, drills, grinders * and hand tools * Understands and can effectively use calibration and measurement devices to check * components as they are received or products as a final inspection * Knows how to read drawings, work instructions, job travelers * Knows how to physically lift, move parts and use the hoist if part is too heavy to move * manually Physical Requirements * Ability to stand, walk, and inspect parts for extended periods * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally * Comfortable working in a production/manufacturing environment Company Description Just In Time Staffing seeks to pair top candidates with opportunities that will be mutually beneficial for both them and the employers.
