Accounting Supervisor

Oversee accounting staff and ensure timely and accurate support of accounting functions and systems. Provide direction on accounting functions and systems supported by team members. Direct and lead team projects supporting company-wide strategic directives and product development. Develop and implement improvements to accounting processes and procedures. Train, mentor, develop, and oversee accounting team members. Conduct performance reviews and evaluations. Coach and mentor employees as applicable. Perform other duties as assigned. Bridge technical accounting expertise and leadership within the accounting team. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or an equivalent level of experience. 5+ years or more progressive experience in accounting roles, preferably in banking. CPA certification preferred. Some supervisory or management experience preferred. Thorough understanding of banking operations, financial products, and regulatory requirements, including GAAP and SOX compliance. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in accounting software. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively coach, motivate, and develop team members. Proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. Ability to communicate effectively with internal and/or external customers. Ability to remain stationary 75% of the time or greater. Ability to move objects weighing up to 10 lbs. Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable.
