Water/Wastewater Engineer

Responsibilities Partner with a team to manage water/wastewater infrastructure projects and project teams to support the planning, design, and construction of drinking water treatment, pumping, distribution, storage or conveyance projects. Develop creative solutions to complex water/wastewater treatment and conveyance challenges, working closely with our team of engineers, designers and other professionals. Collaborate with multi‑discipline teams to deliver innovative project solutions. Maintain close relationships with clients throughout development of projects and after completion. Location This opportunity is located in the state of Virginia. Candidates residing in other states are welcome to apply, but relocation will be required for positions outside Virginia. Essential Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a related field. Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within six months of hire date. Experience managing and/or supporting multi‑discipline infrastructure projects. Experience in the design and construction of municipal, state, federal, or industrial drinking water or wastewater treatment projects. Proven understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. Solid knowledge of water treatment systems, equipment, and regulations. Preferred Qualifications Eight years of experience designing and/or managing drinking water or wastewater treatment projects. Knowledge of regional water/wastewater issues and familiarity with the municipal government client base. Demonstrated ability to support multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. Ability to scope and budget new water/wastewater treatment facility projects and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Compensation & Benefits Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $120,000–$150,000 based on skill set and experience.
