The Pediatrics Department within our organization is on the lookout for a Pediatric Hospitalist to enhance our expanding program. This role will be based at South Shore University Hospital located in Bayshore, NY.
Key features of this position include:
A collaborative team of six Pediatric Hospitalists responsible for nursery care, inpatient pediatrics, and emergency department consultations.
Flexible scheduling options to accommodate work-life balance.
Opportunities to engage in clinical research and initiatives aimed at quality improvement.
Academic affiliation with the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine, based on experience.
No responsibilities related to Labor & Delivery.

South Shore University Hospital , previously known as Southside Hospital, is a 341-bed tertiary care facility that serves as a key referral center for Suffolk County, Long Island. It boasts centers of excellence in areas such as cardiology, cardiac surgery, neurosciences, women's health, and pulmonary care. The hospital features several specialized ICUs, including those for medical, surgical, cardiothoracic, and neuro patients. Additionally, it hosts various residency programs in internal medicine, surgery, emergency medicine, and OB/Gyn. Situated 30 miles east of New York City and close to some of the finest beaches in the United States, the region offers a wealth of opportunities.
