Weekend Call Coverage: Fridays to Mondays - 7am-7am

• Coverage will last until Mid-February 2026

Practice Percentage: Adult: 90%; Pediatric: 10%; Trauma: 15%; Office/Clinic: 40%; Hospital: 20%; Non-surgical: 60%; Surgical: 40%

Average number of Office/Clinic per physician per day: Scheduled - 15; Add-ons - 1-2; Surgeries - 1-5/full day

Average number of hospital patients per physician per day: Admissions - 1-3; Surgeries: 1-2 (7:30a-5p)

Number of physicians in the practice: 7; Mid-levels: 5

Locum tenens physician required to supervise other healthcare providers: Yes, M-F 7a-3p APP/PA assists with call coverage, hospital consults, and ER follow ups. On Call Physician supervises.

Other Otolaryngologist will be present during locum tenens coverage: Yes

Lab & X-ray onsite: Yes

Number of exam rooms: 4

Office ancillary: No RNs or LPNs in clinic. 1 MA per provider each clinic site on average

Office Equipments: Rigid and Flexible endoscopes, telepacks, microscopes

EMR: EPIC for both Office/Clinic and Hospital

Referral/Transfer protocol: Docline transfer, MHC is regional level I trauma referral center. Coverage of ancillary UCH sites in El Paso & Teller County

Required Procedures:

• Endoscopic procedures (septal, sinus, laryngoscopy)
• Tracheotomy
• Facial Reconstruction (facial fractures and lacerations only. No cleft lip/palate & free flap)

Preferred Procedures:

• Thyroidectomy

Other Requirements:

• Facial trauma call if shared with Oral Surgery, ENT & Plastic Surgery teams. Generally, in 7 days of ENT call 1-3 are Facial Trauma as well.

Board Certified in Otolaryngology - REQUIRED

Active CO License or Active IMLC LOQ - REQUIRED

Local candidates preferred but not required

Must be able to cover most/all of the open dates listed - REQUIRED
