As an Area Fleet Manager, you will coordinate the procurement, inspection, assignment, maintenance, repair, and disposal of company-wide automotive fleet. You may participate in or contribute to negotiations for fleet purchases and leases, as well as conduct/participate in safety training and ensure compliance with safety regulations (e.g., hazardous material handling). In addition, you will investigate any accidents involving transportation vehicles. Key Responsibilities: Oversees and facilitates the efficient and economical operation and maintenance of all DHL owned or leased vehicles and related equipment Administers vehicle fleet policies regarding the purchase and disposal of vehicles, insurance and expense reports, accident reviews, safety and maintenance Ensures the necessary number of vehicles is operational and available for use when needed Establishes and monitors parts inventory control system, fleet tracking system and vehicle numbering system Ensures that the inspection, licensing, and insurance of all vehicles are in compliance with company policy and applicable governmental regulations Communicates and coordinates with outside vendors who perform fleet maintenance Assists in the development and management of the fleet operating budget Supervises two or more staff Responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and developing subordinate staff Assigns work, sets completion dates, reviews work, and manages performance in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and performance management processes  Skills & Qualifications: Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline and 10+ years’ experience in related field.
