As a team member at DuPage County, you will also have access to time off with pay on Designated Holidays or holiday pay if required to work, Vacation time, Sick time and Personal days.To learn more about the cost and coverage of the benefits plan, visit Employees Benefit InformationFor detailed information on paid time off, visit: AFSCME Council 31 - Care Center.pdf (Download PDF reader)This position is assigned to the AFSCME (Care Center) Bargaining Unit DuPage County is an Equal Opportunity EmployerThis position is included in the Bargaining Unit of AFSCME, Council 31.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include:Provides administrative support to an assigned unitPrepares for doctor's visits: making charts, test results, reports for scheduled residents availablePrepares and maintains a wide variety of unit records (e.g. advanced directives, reports, medical records, dietary restrictions, etc.)Greets and directs visitors and answers telephone and intercomPrepares new admission and discharge chartsNotifies appropriate Care Center staff of resident expirations.Examines residents' wristbands for DNR/CPR status, feeding restrictions, etc.Inventories and maintains documentation for residents' medical equipment (e.g. mattress, C-Pap, range of motion devices, beds, wheelchairs, etc.)Maintains supply of all required forms/documentsNotifies relatives, business office, and kitchen of resident dischargesSorts and delivers mailTransports residents to events in facility and facility's outside spacesProvides non-clinical assistance to residentsPerforms related work as requiredRequirements IncludeRequirements include the following experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience:High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma equivalentTwo(2) years of experience in general office work which required skilled typingA passing score on skills tests in Microsoft Word, Excel is required. A post offer physical is required.
