Exciting opportunities are available for skilled Physical Therapists seeking contract work in an educational setting! A part-time position is currently open for a licensed PT to support elementary students in a local school community. This flexible assignment offers a choice of working two or three days per week, perfectly suited for those who prefer a balanced schedule. The position is scheduled for the fall semester with the possibility of extending through the second semester, providing both immediate engagement and future flexibility.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Physical Therapist license in Illinois
- Experience working with school-aged or pediatric populations preferred
- Comfortable with short-term, contract assignments
- Strong communication skills and adaptability
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct PT services to elementary students according to IEP requirements
- Assess, document, and report on student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, aides, and support teams to integrate therapy goals within the school environment
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Provide expert insight on mobility, access, and adaptive equipment within the school
- Maintain detailed records and complete required documentation in a timely manner
