Candidates would need to be able to commute to Gloversville, NY on a flexible hybrid schedule.Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger oversight, financial reporting, and month‑end closeLead, coach, and review the work of staff accountants and bookkeepersReview complex individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns and support tax planning strategiesManage audit engagements from planning through fieldwork and final reportingServe as a primary point of contact for clients, offering guidance on financial performance and internal controlsCollaborate with firm leadership on workflow improvements, quality standards, and long‑term growth initiativesSalary Range: $140,000 - $180,000 with additional bonus potential. Includes full suite of benefits and a flexible hybrid schedule.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA/EA required (Will consider those close to obtaining CPA/EA)7+ years of progressive public accounting experience, including tax and audit exposurePrior supervisory or management experience in a CPA firm environment strongly preferred.Strong understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and audit methodologiesProven ability to manage multiple client engagements and deadlines in a fast‑paced settingExcellent communication skills and a client‑service mindsetProficiency with common accounting and tax software; experience with cloud‑based systems is a plusJob typePerm
