Accounting Manager

Benefits: Full benefits package + paid holidays Position Overview A growing Midland-based organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and provide leadership to the accounting team. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys staying involved in the details while also managing people, deadlines, and financial reporting. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, strengthening accounting processes, and ensuring the team consistently meets reporting requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead and support day-to-day accounting operations Manage and develop accounting team members Oversee month-end and year-end close processes Review general ledger activity, reconciliations, and journal entries Prepare and review financial statements and management reporting Maintain accurate and timely financial records Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Assist with annual audits and tax-related reporting Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures Identify opportunities to improve and streamline accounting processes Partner with leadership on financial reporting and accounting initiatives Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3+ years of progressive accounting experience 1+ year of team leadership or supervisory experience CPA or CPA Eligible Required Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting Hands-on experience with month-end close, general ledger accounting, and reconciliations Strong Excel and accounting systems experience Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team #J-18808-Ljbffr
