In this role, you’ll lend your expertise to a dedicated school team, ensuring that students with special needs receive individualized support. You’ll be responsible for coordinating educational plans, collaborating with staff and families, and helping each student achieve key developmental milestones.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (SPED Cert required; dual certification is no longer necessary)
• Experience working with early childhood or elementary-aged students preferred
• Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and special education best practices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning styles

Responsibilities:

• Manage an elementary caseload, developing and implementing IEPs for each student
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom climate that supports growth and learning
• Monitor student progress and maintain detailed records
