We're recommending an experienced Interim Director of Human Resources (Employee Relations & Compliance Focus) to step into a high-visibility leadership role and provide senior-level HR guidance during an important organizational transition.

This position is ideal for a seasoned HR leader who thrives in employee relations, workplace investigations, manager coaching, performance management, compliance, and risk mitigation. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to leadership while helping navigate complex people-related matters and ensuring sound HR practices across the organization.

This is an onsite contract engagement expected to last approximately 6-8 weeks, with potential for extension through year-end based on organizational needs and candidate interest.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the senior HR advisor to organizational leaders and managers
• Guide managers through employee relations matters and difficult workplace situations
• Conduct and oversee workplace investigations
• Provide coaching on performance management and corrective action processes
• Advise on terminations and risk mitigation strategies
• Support FMLA, leave administration, and employment law compliance matters
• Partner with leadership to address workplace conflict and employee concerns
• Ensure HR practices remain legally compliant and aligned with best practices
• Help maintain continuity and stability during a leadership transition

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as an HR Director, Senior HR Manager, Director of People Operations, or Senior HR Business Partner
• Strong background in employee relations and workplace investigations
• Deep understanding of employment law, FMLA, compliance, and HR risk management
• Experience advising executives, managers, and leadership teams
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and complex employee situations
• Strong judgment, professionalism, and communication skills
• Ability to establish credibility quickly and make an immediate impact
