Position Overview

Fun Fit Therapy is seeking a motivated and compassionate New Jersey Licensed Physical Therapist to provide school-based physical therapy services at The Deron School in Union, NJ during the 2026–2027 school year. The Physical Therapist will work collaboratively with educational teams to support students with diverse physical, developmental, and neurological needs in accessing their educational environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services in accordance with student IEPs
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
• Develop and implement functional mobility, positioning, transfer, balance, gait, and gross motor programs
• Train and support teachers, paraprofessionals, and families regarding therapeutic strategies and equipment use
• Maintain timely and compliant documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations
• Collaborate with occupational therapists, speech therapists, nursing staff, and educational personnel to maximize student outcomes

Qualifications

Required:

• Current New Jersey Physical Therapy License
• New Jersey School Physical Therapy Certification
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Preferred:

• Minimum of one year of pediatric and/or school-based experience.
• Experience working with students with developmental disabilities, orthopedic impairments, and complex medical needs.
