Engineering Manager

Engineering Manager Overview The Engineering Manager will provide technical and administrative assistance to the Director of Engineering Services and assist in the operational aspects of the Engineering Department for the hotel. Responsibilities Assist the Director of Engineering Services in the upkeep of preventative maintenance, including keeping logs of work done, scheduling, and assignment of projects and related tasks. Review work orders and assign work by priorities. Maintain up-to-date inventories of heat, light & power and repair and maintenance supplies. Respond to guest requests. Work with the Engineering staff on a shift basis and coordinate their activities. Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation. Have a thorough understanding of Omni's job scenarios. Qualifications Must have extensive HVAC and mechanical experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays. Union experience preferred. 2-4 years of luxury hotel engineering experience preferred. Previous experience at a convention service hotel preferred. Ability to work in the interior and exterior of the hotel as needed. Must be able to maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance. Can work in cold, heat, humidity, precipitation, wind, noise, and vibration conditions.
