Position Overview


Seeking an experienced General Surgery Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a locum tenens opportunity in Longview, Washington, beginning December 1, 2026.


The provider will deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient surgical care, primarily supporting trauma surgeons with daily patient rounding, admissions, postoperative management, and wound care.


Secondary responsibilities include providing postoperative trauma follow-up care in the general surgery clinic.


This position is well suited for a Nurse Practitioner with a strong hospitalist background, experience managing hospitalized surgical patients, and the ability to collaborate with trauma surgeons and other clinical providers.


The assignment offers variable daytime shifts with alternating weekend coverage and no on-call responsibilities.

• Experience Managing Postoperative Surgical Patients
• Experience Performing Wound Care Procedures
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - Required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification - Required
• BLS and ACLS Certifications From the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, as Applicable

• Ability to Provide Clinical Case Logs From the Previous 24 Months - Required
