Registered Nurse (RN) – School-Based Nursing

Location: Overland Park, KS
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM–4:00 PM
Start Date: Next School Year
School Setting: Elementary School
Interview: Remote

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized nursing support in an elementary school setting. This position is ideal for an RN with experience supporting students with complex medical needs and collaborating with educational teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and medical support to students throughout the school day
• Support students who are non-ambulatory
• Provide G-tube care and feeding support
• Perform suctioning as needed
• Administer and monitor medications
• Assist students with ADLs (Activities of Daily Living)
• Monitor student health and respond appropriately to medical needs
• Maintain accurate health and nursing documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, education staff, and related service providers
• Support the implementation of educational and student care goals
• Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment

Qualifications

• Active Kansas RN license required
• Pediatric, school nursing, special education, or medically complex experience preferred
• Experience with G-tubes, suctioning, medication administration, non-ambulatory students, and ADLs preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Compassionate and dependable approach to student care
