Step into a dynamic school-based occupational therapy role serving students from ages 3 to 21 in the southwest Houston area. This contract opportunity offers a full-time schedule—37.5 hours per week—supporting multiple campuses within a designated zone based on your home ZIP code. Use the district office as your home base and enjoy the consistency of working within an assigned area, minimizing extensive daily travel.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Texas OT license required
• Experience in school-based or pediatric settings highly valued
• Open to highly qualified COTAs with substantial school or pediatric experience
• Successful state fingerprinting and background check mandatory
• Must not be a former employee or previously terminated from any school district (affidavit required)
• Proficiency with SHARES and Onward documentation platforms, as well as Excel for IEP logs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations for students ages 3–21 across 6–7 schools
• Provide direct services (approximately 30–40 students) and consults (caseload strives to remain near 70 total, with many consult-only cases)
• Service delivery rotation varies: may be weekly, biweekly, or every 6 weeks
• Attend ARD meetings and collaborate with educational teams
• Complete detailed documentation on all cases, using provided software and logs
• Manage a diverse caseload independently—there are no COTAs for assistance, so leadership and self-motivation are essential

This position follows a typical school-day schedule (8:00–4:00 or 7:30–3:30, depending on the campus). You'll join a district committed to professional excellence and ongoing support.
