Step into a dynamic school-based environment, providing occupational therapy services for students ages 3 to 21 in the southwest Houston area. This full-time, on-site contract opportunity focuses on delivering impactful care across multiple schools within an assigned, ZIP code-specific zone, ensuring your commute is mindful of your home base.

You’ll be responsible for evaluations, attending ARDs, and providing both consultative and direct therapy. Caseload management is central: typically, you will oversee up to 70 students, with 30-40 receiving direct services on a rotating, individualized schedule. The district employs SHARES and Onward for documentation; a strong grasp of these platforms or similar systems will help streamline your workflow.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Active Texas OT licensure required
• Previous school or pediatric OT experience highly preferred; exceptional COTAs with multiple years in schools or pediatrics are welcome to apply
• Able to work full-time (37.5 hours/week), strictly no part-time options
• Strong skills in evaluations, IEPs, and consultative therapy
• Familiarity with SHARES, Onward, or similar documentation platforms
• Valid state fingerprinting/background check (completion required before start)
• Candidates must not be former employees of this district or have a history of termination from any school district

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative OT services to a defined caseload in your assigned zone
• Conduct evaluations and participate in ARDs, collaborating with educational teams
• Maintain detailed and timely documentation using provided software
• Act as lead OT without COTA support, managing your caseload independently
• Utilize the district office as your home base for efficient school access
