Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Float Pool

Location

Colorado Springs, CO (Zone covering up to 60-mile radius, including Pueblo, CO and Canon City, CO)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Full-Time | Onsite | Travel Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across Medical Surgical and Telemetry units, floating throughout an assigned regional zone of facilities within a 60-mile radius
• Care for an adult and geriatric patient population with diagnoses including cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, oncology, renal, urology, general surgery, gynecology, and general medicine
• Titrate Heparin drips and manage patients requiring RT equipment including vents, CPAP, and BiPAP as needed
• Adapt to unit assignments that may include MS-Tele, PCU/Stepdown, and low-acuity ICU holds based on skillset and census needs
• Maintain flexibility with scheduling, including weekend rotations (6–9 shifts per 6-week schedule) and potential holiday rotation participation
• Receive and respond to Just-In-Time (JIT) facility assignments communicated 1–2 hours before shift start when applicable

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of Colorado (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Must reside or obtain housing that allows feasible access to all facilities within the full 60-mile regional zone
• Must be present in state during the week of orientation, even if initial modules are conducted remotely
• Valid driver's license required; must be at least 60 miles from each facility in the zone (no home base facility)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in neurological nursing
• Experience floating across multiple unit types or working in a regional float pool setting
• Comfort managing patients across varying acuity levels including PCU/Stepdown and low-acuity ICU holds
