Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and recovery goals of individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders.
• Develop tailored treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
• Conduct individual counseling sessions, providing empathetic support and guiding patients through their recovery journey.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions, fostering a safe space for clients to share experiences and support one another in their path to recovery.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including psychiatrists and addiction medicine specialists, to coordinate integrated care.
• Respond to crises and provide immediate support during substance-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
• Educate patients and their families about addiction, coping strategies, and available community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and continuing education opportunities to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in substance use disorder treatment to continuously improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work closely with adults and families affected by substance use disorders, providing critical support during their recovery journey. Qualifications

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
• In-depth knowledge of substance use disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and recovery-oriented practices.
• Proven experience delivering individual and group therapy within the context of addiction treatment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy and a non-judgmental approach to care.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries, adhere to ethical guidelines, and ensure patient confidentiality.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications crucial for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient settings, particularly in substance use disorder treatment, is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
