Key Responsibilities\n

• Developing and executing individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments and client needs, using evidence-based practices to guide therapy.

• Providing crisis intervention services to clients in urgent need, employing de-escalation techniques and immediate support resources.

• Facilitating age-appropriate assessments for children and adolescents (ages 0-21) and their families, ensuring comprehensive understanding and care for each client.

• Leading support groups for parents, including those facing challenges with placement, adoption, and caring for prenatally substance-exposed children.

• Offering training and mentoring to community professionals and parents, enhancing their understanding of mental health issues as they relate to families and children.

• Consulting with interdisciplinary team members to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to each client’s treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and families experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including addiction, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, and other related disorders. You will have the opportunity to work closely with clients facing gender identity issues and family dynamics, providing essential support through skilled counseling and diverse therapeutic methods.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health discipline is required.

• Active and appropriate California licensure as a Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT).

• Strong understanding of normal child development, parental education, and issues surrounding child abuse and neglect.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $130,000 annually, based on caseload and experience.
