Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of remote work, providing you with the capability to treat clients from the comfort of your own home while ensuring a supportive community atmosphere. You will work Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to understand the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that align with clients' unique needs, therapy goals, and personal preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to deliver effective treatment interventions.

• Educate and empower clients and their families on mood disorders and offer guidance on self-care practices and treatment options.

• Regularly monitor and document clients' progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to enhance therapeutic outcomes.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to client care.

• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in the treatment of mood disorders to continuously refine your therapeutic strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be individuals and families affected by mood disorders, including but not limited to, those dealing with crises like homelessness, trauma from domestic abuse, and the mental health needs of refugees. Your role is pivotal in helping these vulnerable populations navigate their challenges and work towards recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is mandatory.
