Commercial & Residential Loss Control Consultant-Independent Contractor

Insurance Inspector MIB, Inc. (Mutual Inspection Bureau, Inc.) provides time-sensitive insurance surveys to customers across Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, and Washington DC. We hire independent 1099 contractors to perform on-site underwriting surveys on residential, commercial, and agricultural properties. Responsibilities Assess property conditions and identify potential hazards that could lead to claims activity. Gather data to assist insurers in establishing replacement-cost values for buildings and dwellings. Prepare clear, accurate reports on a per-report basis. Qualifications Reliable, organized, and self-motivated individual. Capable of interacting with community members. Basic knowledge of home construction materials and methods. Previous inspection experience is helpful. Must have a PC, internet access, and a digital camera. Compensation is on a per-report basis, with work volume ranging from part-time to full-time depending on business volume in a defined territory.
