Work Environment

This position is onsite, specifically in the home care setting, where you will visit patients in their residences across Hialeah. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans for patients which are designed to enhance mobility, functionality, and strength through targeted therapeutic exercises and interventions.
• Guide patients through specific exercises and rehabilitation activities, ensuring they understand each technique to foster independence and promote recovery.
• Educate patients and their families about proper body mechanics, exercises, and home regimens that contribute to improved overall health.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound to aid in pain relief and expedite recovery, always under appropriate supervision.
• Monitor and document patient progress systematically, including assessing range of motion, strength improvements, and overall functional capacity, to ensure optimal treatment evolution.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment area to facilitate effective patient care sessions and minimize delays.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists to develop synchronized care strategies and optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients to foster a positive environment that encourages healing and recovery.
• Comply with all ethical, professional, and legal standards to uphold the confidentiality and dignity of each patient.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
