Senior AccountantThe Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the full cycle financial close process including General Ledger maintenance, expense management and work in progress tracking. This position is located in-office 5 days a week (Rockville, MD).Reconcile assigned Balance Sheet accounts and record applicable journal entriesPrepare period end fluctuation analysis to support the timely closing of the period.Review non-merchandise invoices for proper coding and approvals.Review utility invoices for proper usage and work with utility providers to ensure timely paymentReview store expenses to ensure proper coding and record necessary accrualsPull supporting documentation and receipts to record all online purchasesManage the corporate credit card reconciliation process and ensure adherence to travel policyWork closely with other departments to track work-in-progress and maintain corporate and production inventoriesEvaluate initiatives, recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to achieve continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.Prepare and present data/presentations in a timely and easy to understand format.Foster a workplace consistent with MOM's purpose, values, and goals.Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting3-5 years' related experienceProficiency with automated A/P systemsExperience with general ledger account reconciliationExperience with financial reporting and analysisAdvanced experience with Microsoft ExcelExperience with Google Suite & Microsoft OfficeExcellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skillsConsistency with meeting deadlinesAbility to prioritize tasks that change frequently and manage unexpected demandsDependable, follows instructions and takes initiative to solve problemsInterest in company culture and desire to grow in the fieldExperience in a fast-paced work environmentNice to have:5+ years' experience in fieldPrevious retail/merchandise experienceProficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and MediusThe salary range for this position is $82- $95k.
