Opportunity Overview  

We have an immediate opening for a  Senior Accountant to join our team at  US Fertility working a hybrid schedule including two to three days per week in our Rockville, Maryland office. 

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Compensation: $95,000 to $100,000 per hour (commensurate with experience)

In this role, the Senior Accountant will: 

• Own the monthly close process for an assigned portfolio of practices or entities, including preparation of journal entries, supporting schedules, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Analyze revenue and accounts receivable activity, independently research unusual trends, reconciling items, timing, or posting differences, and prepare or recommend appropriate corrective entries.
• Maintain and reconcile revenue-related balances, including accrued, deferred, unapplied, unbilled, bad debt and AR reserve activity, as applicable.
• Develop a strong understanding of assigned practices and proactively identify and investigate transactions, balances, or financial results that do not align with expectations.
• Serve as the accounting owner for assigned practices, partnering with operational, revenue cycle, and finance teams to research and resolve accounting issues with a high degree of independence.
• Maintain the accurate and timely dissemination of financial statements and reports
• Support and facilitate external audit
• Oversee accounts payable operations
• Reconcile and review General Ledger accounts to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with GAAP
• Review corporate prepared financial statements for accuracy and prepare month end journal entries
• Review and prepare bank reconciliations
• Establish and maintain systems and internal controls
• Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports
• Provide financial support to management and multiple departments
• Review payroll processing
• Maintain and protect operations by keeping all pertinent information confidential
• Manage financial close cycle and variance analysis
• Oversee accounts payable
• Participate in department budget preparation and compliance
• Participate in internal and external audits

What You’ll Bring

Qualifications and Skills Include:  

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting and finance
• Healthcare experience preferred
• CPA preferred
