Work Environment

As part of our home care team, you will travel to patients' homes, providing therapy in a comfortable and familiar setting. Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Physical Therapist at Viera Physical Therapy, your daily tasks will include:

• Evaluating patients referred by physicians to determine their physical therapy needs and devising tailored treatment plans.
• Implementing therapeutic interventions based on evidence-based practices, actively monitoring patient progress and making adjustments as necessary.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes, ensuring efficient communication with all stakeholders involved in the patient's care.
• Educating patients and their caregivers on treatment strategies, exercise techniques, and home safety modifications to promote long-term health.
• Providing compassionate, skilled care directly in patients' homes, utilizing various therapeutic modalities to improve function and alleviate pain.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and records for patient interactions, treatment outcomes, and any changes in treatment plans.
• Aiming to meet minimum utilization goals, while always prioritizing high standards of patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a wide spectrum of clientele, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine patients. This variety in patient demographics not only enhances your clinical expertise but also enriches your daily experiences as you get to know and support individuals from different backgrounds and with unique rehabilitation needs.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid State License to practice as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in Florida.
• At least two years of relevant clinical experience in a physical therapy setting.
• Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective patient interactions and team collaboration.
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation.
• The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with patients to encourage adherence to treatment goals.
• A positive and engaging approach to connecting with patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, preferred candidates will have experience in treating diverse populations, including sports injuries or chronic conditions. Familiarity with various therapeutic techniques and tools, such as therapeutic modalities or exercise prescriptions tailored for home environments, will be highly beneficial.
