Job Title

Registered Nurse – Telemetry / IMC / Step-Down (Moderate Care Unit)

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (36 Hours/Week) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 12-bed, 24-hour moderate care observation unit serving a heart and vascular service line
• Monitor and manage low-acuity critical care patients awaiting placement in ICU or step-down units, as well as post-procedure observation patients
• Manage patients on 2–4 drips, arterial lines, PA catheters, and LVADs
• Perform ongoing cardiac rhythm identification and monitoring; clinicians will be required to pass a proctored rhythm identification test upon start
• Support a high-volume, fast-paced environment with significant patient turnover and a wide variety of cardiovascular diagnoses and procedures
• Apply strong critical thinking and assessment skills to pre-surgical and observation-status patients

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 18 months of experience in IMC, PCU, Step-Down, or related specialty within the past 3 years
• Experience with PA catheters and arterial lines
• Ability to pass a proctored (non-multiple choice) cardiac rhythm identification test; two attempts permitted
• Navy blue scrubs required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN certification preferred
• Experience with LVAD management and vasoactive drip titration
• Background working with pre-surgical or cardiovascular procedure patients
