About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Telemetry / IMC / Stepdown (Moderate Care Unit)

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours/week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to low-acuity critical care and observation patients within a 12-bed, 24-hour moderate care unit serving the heart and vascular service line
• Monitor and manage patients on arterial lines, PA catheters, LVADs, and up to 2–4 vasoactive drips
• Care for a high-volume, fast-paced patient population with diverse cardiovascular diagnoses and procedures
• Support pre-surgical patients and those recovering from same-day procedures who require extended monitoring prior to discharge
• Complete a proctored, written rhythm identification test upon unit orientation (two attempts permitted)

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 18 months of IMC, PCU, Stepdown, or related specialty experience within the past 3 years
• Experience with PA catheters and arterial lines required
• Ability to pass a proctored rhythm identification test (non-multiple choice)
• Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility (no local travelers)
• Navy blue scrubs required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN certification preferred
• Prior experience with LVAD patients or cardiovascular stepdown/ICU populations
• Familiarity with rare ventilator management in a stepdown or moderate care setting
