Position Description Summary/Purpose:

This position assists with the daily operations of the Registrar's Office. The Registration Coordinator is responsible for setting up and managing the registration process each semester. This position requires confidentiality, a can-do attitude, and an exceptional work ethic.

Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities:

• Identify registration dates in alignment with the university calendar
• Establish registration schedules within the student database
• Conduct daily course reconciliations
• Manage the adding, swapping, dropping, and withdrawal of student courses and university withdrawals in accordance with Title IV regulations
• Process notifications for cancelled courses
• Oversee the prerequisite overrides process
• Prepare the annual prerequisite list
• Assist the Registrar and Assistant Registrar in the preparation for audits
• Manage waitlist notifications and facilitate student registration for waitlisted classes
• Support student registration for the Hartford Consortium
• Collaborate with academic departments as needed
• Assist with graduation tasks.

Other Functions

• Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation permits
• Continues professional development and training; keeps current with trends
• Assists other department staff as needed to promote a team effort.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of student records and related documents
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, Microsoft Suite and student databases.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 3 years of experience in higher education, Title IV, or related field preferred.
